Over 1000 Volunteer registrations for the Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships in first week of application phase!

Berlin OlystadionVolunteers are always an important pillar of major sport competitions worldwide and shape the face of every event. Berlin 2018 will also be shaped by volunteers – and the application phase for volunteers has started. A total of more than 2,000 volunteers are being sought. The available roles stretch from transportation, visitor services, accommodation, accreditation and sport to media and protocol.

For the implementation of the volunteer program, Berlin 2018 is working with SOLID – Event Management + Consulting GmbH. Our volunteers will be the face of this European Athletics Championships throughout the city and in the stadium. Especially here in Berlin they are sure to bring a great feel-good factor to visitors and athletes with ‘heart and snout’ as we say Berlin.”

The 24th European Athletics Championships 2018 will take place 7-12 August 2018. For the first time they will be held in the Berlin Olympic stadium and on the streets of the sports metropolis Berlin (walking and marathon).
