Who we are.

Philipp Groborsch

Philipp is one of the two founders and Managing Directors of SOLID – Event Management + Consulting.

Most recently Philipp was the CEO of the European Youth Olympic Festival in Vorarlberg-Liechtenstein 2015, balancing a 6,5 Mil. Euro budget and, together with his team, successfully delivering the first ever Olmypic event in history co-hosted by two countries.

Through his executive level project and event management skills, Philipp is specialised in technical consulting for exactly these areas with a special focus on finance and technology. Other events Philipp has been involved with include the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games Innsbruck 2012, UEFA Euro 2008 and the Winter Universiade Innsbruck/Seefeld 2005.

Philipp is a regular speaker at congresses and universities such as SportAccord IF Forum, International Sport Business Symposium, Sports Venue Summit, FH Krems and SRH Heidelberg.

Philipp studied Sport Management in Innsbruck, Austria. A former athlete in swimming, tennis and snowboarding, Philipp enjoys nowadays to go ski, snowboard, bike and climb around Innsbruck.

 

Markus Leonhard

Markus is one of the two founders and Managing Directors of SOLID – Event Management + Consulting.

Most recently Markus has been looking after projects such as Tough Mudder’s market entry in Germany where SOLID has been performing a range of services such as strategic advice, event general management and production management. Markus was also leading on SOLID’s involvement in the FIFA Handbook project from 2014 to 2015.

Besides his senior level project and event management skills, Markus is specialised in technical consulting on event operational topics and event host / event property owner related matters in the context of bidding and event hosting rights. Other events Markus has been involved with include the Olympic and Paralympic Games London 2012 and Vancouver 2010, UEFA Euro 2008 and the FIFA World Cup 2006.

Markus is a regular speaker at congresses and universities such as Sport Economics & Management Symposium, IBIT Symposium Event Safety and Security, AISTS Lausanne, TU Munich and FH Krems.

Markus studied Sport Management in Bayreuth / Germany and Bordeaux / France. A former athlete in gymnastics, athletics and basketball Markus enjoys nowadays to run, ski and bike in the mountains surrounding Innsbruck.
